My name is Barbara Thaxton, and I am very pleased to be your child’s teacher. I have lived in the Las Vegas area for 28 years. I am a former home-schooling mother of four, and three of my children and their families live here in the Henderson area. My youngest daughter, Carolyn, has been teaching music in Texas for two years. This year, she will be traveling to Nepal to teach music in Katmandu for the next two years in an ACSI affliated school (Association of Christian Schools International).
I have 15 years experience in private and public schools. My grandchildren, Bella, second grade, and Tony, Kindergarten, will be attending Coral for the first time this year. This will be my fourth year at CASLV; I have transferred over from the Tamarus campus.
